Parviz Tanavoli : lovers

Tanavoli incorporates into his work a vast array of Persian popular signs, symbols and artifacts. Replications of old brass and steel padlocks with images of birds, cistern spouts in the shape of lion heads, brass and steel standards in Moharram mourning processions, and metal grilles in shrines of Shi'ite saints are essential elements of Tanavoli's creations.
