Alternative map of Leeuwarden

This is an alternative map of Leeuwarden from the perspective of local activists, providing an alternative view of the city. In this map, the activists shared their personal stories to identify places that represent action, solidarity, risk, and resistance. The purpose of creating this map is to locate narratives situated in Leeuwarden and show how these stories are brought into the public sphere through public spaces. This map is alternative because it challenges the traditional divide between mapmaker and map user and instead encourages a local, collaborative and personal approach to mapping.
