Material gesture

‘Material Gesture’ presents a comprehensive reflection on six years of student work produced at Studio Anne Holtrop at the ETH Zurich. The Studio’s approach is rooted in site explorations, material testing, dialogues with experts, gestures of making, climatic and geological studies, and cultural practices. These elements inform the process of shaping matter and space through architecture, creating a unique methodology of engagement and creation.
