He was convinced that 'with the photograph one could very simply show the events, the truth, the facts'. In his words you can sense the anger and the creative energy to go into battle with photo, scissors, brush and glue. His way of working in particular becomes clear: choosing the artistic, cutting out and assembling. His works reached an audience of millions and are now classics of political art.
