Sedje Hémon : emotion of spirits
-
“The logical explanation is the relationship between painting and music, both of which live in me and my work as a spiritual intermediary,” says Sedje Hémon. For decades, Sedje Hémon was light years ahead of the way in which artistry was understood in the West. Hémon described her paintings as abstract musical compositions and their abstract forms were to be read as scores in relation to various musical parameters such as duration, pitch and timbre, while also combining this with her theory of the 'integration of the arts'. It was her attempt to complete the common origin and intersectionality of all the arts and sciences.
