Get lost art route : where the sidewalk ends
-
GET LOST develops art routes with young, promising artists who are commissioned by companies or organisations. The artworks are temporarily placed in public space for the duration of the art-route exhibition. At the end of the art-route exhibition the companies who have participated in the project are given the right of first refusal to buy the artworks.
GET LOST aims to bridge the gap between businesses and the art world starting from the premise that each can inspire the other. GET LOST serves as mediator between the artists, curators and participating organisations. Its task is to monitor the autonomy and quality of the artwork, while safeguarding the needs of the participating businesses. GET LOST sets artists the challenge of taking a step towards the commercial world without compromising the quality of their work. And it challenges businesses and institutions to open up to the experimental character of the artworld and young talent in particular.
