Korean artists today

The Korean art world has developed significantly since 2000, both in the quality of work and the number of artists. The art market has also diversified through galleries, auctions, and art fairs. Korean artists began to leap beyond the local art scene and actively participate in many international exhibitions and biennales. This publication was initiated as a project to promote art criticism of contemporary visual artists. The project was aimed at providing easier access to artists' works for readers who are interested in contemporary Korean art, and featured critical writings comprising systematic content from a broad perspective about artists who exhibit locally and internationally.
