Marco Fusinato : from the horde to the bee
-
'From the Horde to the Bee' is a project/event by Marco Fusinato to redistribute funds from the 56th International Art Exhibition, la Biennale di Venezia to the Primo Moroni Archive. Located in a historical anarchist squat in Milan, the Primo Moroni Archive is a collection and resource for militant and critical publishing.
A printed document is the means in which the event is activated. The printed document (A4 in size and 496pp in length) features a selection of material from the archive (a clash of Marxist, Anarchist and Autonomist references). The material ranges from the 1960’s up to now.
All the images are reproduced at 1:1 scale, exactly as they were scanned on an A4 scanner, whether they fitted or not. No crops or edits. All the images are black and white. The front and back cover is a 1:1 scan of a 10€ note.
The edition of the printed document sits on a large purpose built table/s as an installation. In exchange for a copy the public leave 10€ on the table surface.
The cash remains on the table for the duration of the exhibition.
Part Robin Hoodism, part money laundering, the edition of 10,000 means a potential of 100,000€ on the table. There are no guards, no security, no rules.
At the end of the exhibition all the cash on the table goes to the Primo Moroni Archive/squat for its continued struggle.
