Akademie X : lessons in art + life

The book gathers a series of lessons from 36 artists working today, aiming to provoke, inspire and stimulate conversations on art.
Among these “artist-tutors”—a list which includes celebrated artists Marina Abramovic, Walead Beshty, Miranda July, Chris Kraus and Richard Wentworth—are CalArts alumni Christopher Williams (Art MFA 81) and James Welling (Art BFA 72, MFA 74), faculty Charles Gaines and Shirley Tse, and School of Art Dean Tom Lawson.
