Circadian Rhythm
-
In the novel a fictional detective goes about trying to answer unsolved questions. Through travel, clues, mystic rituals, experiences at the opera, poetry, and other elements, an ambiguous tale of one person’s experiences in both the Western world and the Far East materializes. Themes include questioning modern urban civilization, the absence of individual identity, conflict, reality versus imagination, and the spiritual quest to establish one’s life in the city at the expense of giving up on one’s dream. -
